Press | Terrorism is mainly the product of Iranian Mullahs

“Wherever you follow the news of the Mullahs’ regime in Iran, you will not find positive news, but rather systematic state terrorism,” writes Tariq Al-Homayed in Asharq Al-Awsat, listing a series of terrorist acts committed by the regime of Iranian Mullahs including attacks on regional marine navigation, the armament of the Houthis in Yemen and Iranian drones that are killing Ukrainians in Europe.

Al-Homayed goes on to say, in his Opinion piece published on Feb. 19, that the Mullahs’ regime “has tried and is trying to target Iranians in Britain, as well as in the United States, where the regime tried to kidnap a journalist of Iranian origin, and the elements who tried to do so were formally charged.”

According to a UN report, the terrorist Saif al-Adel, the leader of the organization and one of the most dangerous figures of al-Qaeda, is based in Iran. Washington has allocated a reward of $10 million for information leading to his arrest or death.

“What is new, however, is that the al-Qaeda leader officially resides in Iran, confirming that the Mullahs’ regime has always had the upper hand in supporting al-Qaeda and protecting its leaders”

Tariq Al-Homayed

Al-Homayed emphasizes that the US State Department had confirmed the UN report, adding that the news of the presence of al-Adel in Iran is not new, as he has been living there for a long time and that they had previously confirmed that one of the terrorist operations that targeted Saudi Arabia in 2003 was under the instructions of al-Adel from inside Iranian territory.

“What is new, however, is that the al-Qaeda leader officially resides in Iran, confirming that the Mullahs’ regime has always had the upper hand in supporting al-Qaeda and protecting its leaders,” Al-Homayed goes on to say, adding that in August 2020, “the group’s second-in-command, known as Abu Muhammad al-Masri, was assassinated on a Tehran street.”

All of this confirms what former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo concluded in his memoirs that al-Qaeda’s headquarters are in Tehran and “not in Tora Bora, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, or Syria.”

“Therefore, all the irrefutable evidence, as witnessed by Western countries and their security services, as well as by the testimony of the United Nations, says that Iran sponsors terrorism, apart from what it is doing in the region from Iraq to Syria, from Yemen to Lebanon and what it is doing to the Iranian people themselves,” Al-Homayed points out.

“the continued crimes of the Iranian regime are caused by the international community’s leniency towards the Mullahs’ regime”

Tariq Al-Homayed

Al-Homayed stresses that the truth is “what the mullahs’ regime is doing to Iran, the region, and the international stage, under the leadership of the Iranian leader, and through Tehran’s terrorist proxies, has not been done by Saddam Hussein’s regime, or by any regime that can be remembered in the modern era, and yet there are no serious international moves towards the Iranian regime.”

“We have not even seen media coverage of the scale of Iranian crimes, especially by some American media, which can only be described as hypocrites. Therefore, the continued crimes of the Iranian regime are caused by the international community’s leniency towards the Mullahs’ regime,” Al-Homayed concludes, adding that this is “shameful and suspicious.”
