Uniting Voices: American Coalition for Syria Conference 2024

The Syrian revolution that erupted in March of 2011 is more than just an uprising against a brutal, self-serving totalitarian regime. It is also a collaborative effort to restore the greatness of a nation with a proud and glorious history. As we approach the 13th anniversary of the beginning of the revolution, Syrian and non-Syrian supporters of freedom and justice for Syria will gather in Washington DC as they have been doing since 2012.

This year the American Coalition for Syria (ACS) has organized a Day of Advocacy at the US Capitol to be held one day before its 2024 Annual Conference for Syria. The goal of this year’s much-anticipated gathering is to serve as a beacon of hope for Syrian and American activists as they come together in capital from all over the US and abroad to reflect on the journey thus far and help pave the way for Syria’s tomorrow.

With a focus on unity and solidarity, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with prominent figures

Scheduled for March 7 and 8, this year’s conference promises to be an enlightening affair, filled with discussions, panels, and insightful speeches from esteemed guests. With a focus on unity and solidarity, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with prominent figures such as Raed Saleh, Isra Chakar, and Omar Offendum, among others, whose voices have resonated throughout the Syrian struggle for justice and democracy.

The conference will feature a diverse range of panel topics, carefully curated to address the pressing issues facing Syria and its people. From discussions on humanitarian aid and rebuilding efforts to political developments and the role of activism in shaping the future, every aspect of the Syrian crisis will be examined with depth and nuance.

this gathering serves as a powerful reminder of the human bonds that transcend nationality and creed

One of the most compelling aspects of the ACS conference is its ability to foster meaningful connections and dialogue among Syrian Americans and their allies. It is a space where personal stories intersect with political activism, where experiences are shared, and where solidarity is forged. In a world often divided by borders and ideologies, this gathering serves as a powerful reminder of the human bonds that transcend nationality and creed.

the fight for justice and democracy in Syria is a global endeavor, and it requires collective action from all who believe in the principles of freedom and human rights

As Syria’s freedom activists have done since their uprising began in 2011, the ACS conference extends its arms wide to welcome advocates from diverse backgrounds who stand in solidarity with their cause. For the past 13 years, non-Syrians have played a crucial role in amplifying the voices of the oppressed and marginalized in Syria. Their presence in Washington, D.C., alongside free Syrians, sends a powerful message to policymakers and the international community: the fight for justice and democracy in Syria is a global endeavor, and it requires collective action from all who believe in the principles of freedom and human rights.

For those passionate about supporting the Syrian cause, this is an event not to be missed. Tickets are selling fast, and with limited availability, now is the time to secure your place at the forefront of advocacy for a free and democratic Syria.
